I think I grew up in Isolation cos according to
who came from were I,m the only one from
Great Barr   ( the posh then area)Never went to
Aston, Nechelles, Sparkbrook or if I did I cant
really remember.Moved from West Bromwich in 1946 and settled as if I,d never been away, liked
people cos having a shop made me aware as to how different we all were. The way I spoke was
a mixture of WB and Brummie by the time I was
17 and even to this day I have a strong Brummie
accent..  Like someone else said to get on one
must mix and mingle join in not stand aside and
certainly join the locals for knowledge ,help and
friendship,  no ghettos they spoil everything for
everyone...........
do unto others as you would be done by

Hi Vauxonion came from Belmont Row bottom end next door to lamp factory, and just over the road from the posh house over the cut. Yes we were posh we had a horse trough bottom of road to play in , still got the scar on my hand where the door to the canal shut on me O0
