This urinal is on Harborne High Street outside The Junction public house and is still in use today I believe.

I've always thought that there must have been a horse trough at Moseley Village at some time or other, because of the horse cab stand that was there for a good number of years. I had never heard mention of one or saw a photo of one until I came across this one the other day.

I bet there was many a horse that couldn't wait to get to this trough after the long haul up Rose Hill at the Lickey's.

I was glad of this place many a night at the top of Ombersley Road in Balsall Heath after returning home in the early hours of the morning after a curry at the Jinnah Restaurant on Moseley Road. Back then a curry was obligatory after a night at the local.

Phil,
I've had the odd curry in that restaurant after a night in the Red Lion Ladypool rd.     O0

Fred

Back in the 60's it was so cheap in there you could afford it 7 nights a week.

Back on topic now, this is the horse trough that was removed from outside the Greenway public house at the junction of Coventry Road and Cattell Road (see a previous post for an image). It is now safely ensconced at Sarehole Mill, at least this one didn't end up in some Councillors garden.

This urinal would have been on Park Street side of the Vine public house on Lichfield Road in Aston. The last time I passed that way the building was still there, without the loo's of course.
