Silver Jubilee 1935

Can anyone give me any information about the form that the Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1935 took in Birmingham.  Were there any oublic celebrations in the city centre?  Any help would be much appreciated.

Perhaps I can help a little. I lived in Balsall Heath Road and I recall that we had a party in the street. There were trestle tables with food and I think there were chairs to sit at the tables. We had races and various games and the street was decorated with flags and bunting. The same sort of thing happened two years later for the coronation.
