Hi my Mom and Dad were probably the last tenants of the Wagon and Horses. They were Tim & Betty McCarthy I think from 1975 - 1987 or there about.

The Wagon in Sheldon Pat? My Dad (Donal) was a fixture in the bar in those days.

A bit far out for me that (though could have got the 58 I guess.) Always looked more of an eating house than a boozer.

The pub below is the The Eagle, Balsall Heath (Long gone).  My grandparents (Jack and Rose Birch) ran it from the mid 1950's to early 60's. Their previous pub was the The Royal George (known as the Mucker). From the Eagle they went to the The Greet on the Warwick road (mid 60's) and then to the Hay Mills on the Coventry road from which they retired in the early 70's.

They still did relief work at the Black Swan by St Martins Church, The Twin or white Towers not sure of the name it was supposed to be in Nechells. But they mainly worked at the White Hart, Chelmsley Wood until the late 70's.
