I must confess Townie you've got me stumped , it looks partially like Gt Hampton St , although with the barrow it could be down the
market area

The photo was taken in 1960 and has been cropped, The original photo shows another pub next door but one to the left. Both pubs were well known to market workers as they used to open in the early hours of the morning.

Scipio I've been looking at that photo again of Edgbaston Street. The building in question that I posted is the other end of Edgbaston Street you can see the Sydenham hotel in the distance.
