I remember the Jacey News Theatre in the city close to The Alexandra Theatre. They showed Cartoons. I remember I had a boyfriend Will Emery and I used to persuade him to take me there... don't think I've ever grown up! has that gone now, too?

Still there, but it's now the Electric Cinema (and it looks quite smart, too). O0

Hello, I need to send a message to the admin. Chris, but when I looked at the message section for Chris, I found quite a few!  What is the admins. full name?  I am new here and not sure how to make contact as I wish to have permission to use the photos of our cinemas in my website about the Jacey Cinemas history.   Please help

If you go to messages, the new message and just type Chris in the "to" box he will get your message as there is only one "Chris" on the forum. You will note the other choices in the Chris name range have additions to the name Chris such as letters, numbers, or surnames.

You can judge for yourself via this link:-

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/

Type 'station street birmingham' into the search box and click on the sliver of street view that appears.     Navigate down the street by clicking on the < and > arrows, and pan around 360 degrees by pressing your LH mouse key while dragging the mouse across the street scene.

And when you've tired of all this, you can do the same for 'melville road birmingham' and see if your old house has become a mosque! :o

Thanks Phil, I have done so, but after quite a few days I have not had any reply.

I'm afraid that Chris is a busy man, and you will just have to wait until he can find time to answer.
