Birmingham looks busier here that it does now.

Christmas 1963, I spent Christmas eve that year in the Golden Eagle on Hill St.

Phil,

Did you notice Jack Morris' 2 - tone Zodiac with GB plate turn off Moseley Rd as he turned down to Ladypool Rd? - he had an interest in Moseley and so bought all vehicles from Ford dealer there.

On my trip, I saw it is still selling Fords 60 years on.

Seeing that clip reminded me of the time I pulled up in the left hand lane on that junction, along side a bus in the centre lane.
Just as I stopped I had a rather large lady land on my bonnet after jumping off the bus without looking.
Hand break on, out of the car just as the woman disappeared down Slade Road.
She had picked herself up and just took off, I couldn't catch her and she disappeared down the back roads.
I went to the police and reported it, nothing they could do unless she turned up in hospital.
Heard no more after that.

Luckily no damage done to my Austin Devon. (Wish I still had it)
For a big lady, she could certainly motor.
There's no "F" in parking.

Get a quick trip around the Birmingham Grand Prix Circuit and see the changing face of Birmingham at the same time. It's the last clip at the bottom of the page.
