What about this pub, The Woodman on Easy Row. Did you ever have a pint in there?

Phil, What fantastic clips although I couldn't get any sound with them. What a crying shame that such a beautiful pub was destroyed. I wonder if those lovely tiled pictures were saved? It would have been aan act of sheer vandalism if they weren't. I was only 16 years old when this happened and just starting out on my drinking days and sadly never managed to drink in this pub before it was lost but I would have loved to. Can you please jog my memory and remind me where Easy Row was or is still located?

Easy row was at the town end of Broad Street, it ran from Paradise St to Baskerville House and was roughly where the Library that has just closed stands.

Phil Thanks for the info and the photos.
Frederick I haven't been in the Barton Arms but when I was younger I passed it thousands of times on my way back from Villa Park. On match days, when I was old enough to drink, we all used to  meet in the Prince Rupert before the match as it was quieter and less crowded and they served a decent pint there. I'm visiting Brum for a couple of days next month doing some research into the family tree and if my time allows I'll try a take in a visit to the Barton Arms. Thanks for the tip.

Notice the difference in the list of Christmas gifts, can you imagine what would be the reaction from todays kids at receiving a pair of gloves for Christmas.

great and thanks , the first one is the tour of Birmingham and was still run until recently but numbers dropped off and traffic got to heavy to run early machines , pity as it celebrated all that was built in the midlands (about 40 different motorcycles and cars) its a part of our history we should remember as now its all gone , I think the old Levis works is still standing for now
