Anyone remember the 99J, all I know is it ran to Longbridge or from Longbridge. Any ideas.
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

Townie, in the 1978 t/table book the 99 is listed as a City (Bull St) to Chelmsley Wood North service via Meadway.

I remember the No.9 Outer Circle, used to get it in
Perry Barr and go all round to Bournville Village,
sit on the Green with sandwiches and flask, nice Sunday
afternoon out...Other than that I,m better at Midland Red
207 Bham to Sutton , 119 to Great  Barr Scott Arms and
118 to Walsall

blueblizzard The one I was looking at ran from 1950 until its withdrawal in 1969. It was a single decker Leyland PS2/1

I don't know the route of the # 9 bus, but the outer circle was the # 11.

Might it have been a works special for the car factory?    I think factory-bus route numbers were were usually in the 8XX range, but maybe those single-deck Leylands had different destination blinds to the double-deckers and had no numerics at the right-hand side of the route number.     (How's that for clutching at straws? ;D )
There's no B/S on Planet Malc.
