The Drum is seeking a company to deliver its 2014 pantomime
The Drum is the UK’s Premier intercultural art dedicated to the development, presentation and celebration of arts and cultural activities of Birmingham’s diverse communities to benefit all. We deliver a broad programme to a range of communities in Birmingham, including Jamaican comedy plays, Asian language theatre, live music and much more.
The Drum is seeking a professional production company to create ‘Birmingham’s Intercultural Panto’ capable of bringing together and entertaining the cities diverse audiences. We would like the show to link to the cities local, communities and engage a community cast. We are seeking professional practitioners that can produce a family pantomime with wide appeal.
This year will be a pilot that we aim to build on in the future. The contract is for up to 4 performance days with an option to extend through a box office split if demand is high.
To meet our requirements we are looking to award the full provision of a pantomime where the successful tenderer is fully responsible for all aspects of the production which includes the following:
•Schedule (Rehearsals etc.)
•Script
•Set & Costumes
•Cast
•Lighting & Sound
•Choreography and Dancers
•Chaperones
•Licences
•Music
•Stage Management
•Marketing & Publicity
The fee is in the region £10,000 inclusive, depending on viability and number of shows
