Jewllery Quarter at War
« on: November 22, 2014, 08:46:29 PM »
The Birmingham  Art Gallery have at last increased the space given over to Birmingham industry with a special Ehibition to commemorate The Jewellery Quarter's History during WW1 .   (70,000 people were recorded as working in the Jewellery Quarter in 1914. By the end of 1918 more than 400 manufacturers had disappeared)
There is also another Birmingham History Exhibition in progress.

The Staffordshire Hoard exhibition is now permanent and greatly improved since I visited two years ago

A wonderful display and its all free of charge.
