Bike North Birmingham are running a FREE ‘Learn to Pedal’ class on Monday 8th December at Stockland Green Leisure Centre to help you get out and about by bike!

If you have always longed to ride a bike with confidence then this is the course for you. We have places available for beginner cyclists that have never ridden before and for nervous and uncertain cyclists to help you build your confidence.

Monday 8th December, 1pm – 3pm.

'Learn to Pedal' day one is for those of you who have never ridden a bike before or haven’t cycled for a while and would like to rediscover the enjoyment of cycling. The aim of this session is to help participants reach a stage where they can safely start and stop without help, and are able to ride around the training area, doing both left and right turns and avoid obstacles. All training takes part in a dedicated, traffic free area and conforms to national standards guidelines and is delivered by fully qualified instructors.

Depending on progress there may be the opportunity to also attend a further course on Tuesday 9th December to build on these skills.

If you are interested in taking part please email [email protected] by Friday 5th December to show your interest and tell us a little about your cycling experience or call Bike North Birmingham on 0121 464 1020.

If you are interested in learning to ride but can't make the dates above, we are looking to start more cycle training in the New Year. Please email [email protected] to show your interest, we will then be able to keep you informed of upcoming courses.

Please note: Terms and conditions apply. Bikes and Helmets will be provided on both days or you can bring your own to use if you would prefer. You will need an activated Leisure Card to take part in these sessions.
