Moseley History

I have lived there since 1983, apart from working in London for 4 years.
Please come back to me with your memories of Birmingham 13.
Acoroding to The Times the best place to live in Britain.

I lived just off Ladypool rd until I got married and I enjoyed all the years I lived there. Which schools did you go to, just wondering whether they would be the same ones as me.

Hi Anna

Welcome and good luck in your search, I'm sure others on here know more than I do about tracing people and will be able to hand on some advice. I think the place you want is what used to be called,

The Laihai Roi Mother and Baby Rescue Home
42 Park Hill
Moseley.

I'm sure it is closed now and the records moved elsewhere, but somebody is bound to know where.

The Laihai Roi Mother and Baby Rescue Home

Moseley.

Looks like it was adjacent to St Anne's Church, but has since been demolished and replaced by new flats at St Anne's Court.
There's no B/S on Planet Malc.

My response was a general one regarding Moseley. I've removed it as Phil seemed to think I'd missed the mark.

Terry

I think Anna is looking for the type of maternity home where young unmarried mothers went to have their children and where they were often made to put their new-born children up for adoption by their own parents.
