OK, so I know this was a randomly started thread, but I didn't want to start a new topic for this & it does relate to Birmingham so....

The Post Office Tower (BT Tower as it became) has turned 50 -

I could see this & the Rotunda from my bedroom window in Solihull  ;D

Reading through the posts I made on this thread I think I was a bit hasty, so I apologise if I offended anyone.

I found this photo, don't know whether anyone is old enough to remember it. Its a photo of the Bull Ring cinema. Does anyone know anything about it or where exactly it was? Ive never heard of a cinema in the Bull Ring.

Thanks Phil. Just a couple of questions did Park Street continue across Digbeth High Street, or is the wording on the caption wrong because I'm getting a bit mixed up here looking at the photo, and when it was converted to a pub do you know the name? Thank you

below the Bull Ring Cinema today.

I go past that building so many times on the bus.  Have often wondered what it was, now I know!

I've just found out more about the building on this site -
