Florence Street, by Holloway Head

Does anyone have any old pictures of Florence Street at all, my grandfather used to live there in the early 1900s?

This is the only one I have ever seen - but I guess you have already found it.... I can't send you the link directly but if you search the Library of Birmingham's  birminghamimages org uk website for florence, it's there....

My mother used to work at a firm called Normansell at the factory end of the street.

No I hadn't seen the picture or the old map
Looking at the picture makes you realise how hard life must have been then, also the map shows how the houses must have been "back to backs"
While google ing the library pictures it also pulled up a picture of the then king visiting typical slums in Birmingham and the write up claims to be in Florence Street
So thank you for your help
