« on: July 07, 2016, 09:47:45 PM »
Anyone remember the Depot at Henrietta Street with Red 40 and Red 41 with two tone Tolley on Red 40 i think it was.
i was an attendant and had was taught to drive by the Driving School at the Central Fire Station.
Was posted to 4 shift i think it was, with Barry Cobb, Jimmy Aston, Pat Brady, Jim Earl who the last time i saw him he had two pips on his shoulder and was in Bristol Road.

My name is Iain Wilson and going back to early 70s. Shift motors were 222 204 216 that i can remember.  I did a stint at Aston Fire Stn Red 48 with Arthur Lewis and some relief at Erdington Red 47.
Bristol Rd was Red45 and Mosely Rd Red44

Hi Topain

Welcome to the forum it looks like you were in the service the same time roughly as my son. After doing his basic training in Coventry he was stationed at Billesley for a while, he worked at most stations in the Midlands and retired a couple of years back with the rank of what I think they call a group manager today.
