Here we have an image of the Triangle Cinema at the junction of Conybere Street and Gooch Street taken according to the tag in 1957. The middle image was taken by our own Mikejee in the late 60's to early 70's and the last one showing the site today comes from google earth.

Stephenson Street at the back or is it front of New Street Station, from the late 50's up to now.

I've always thought as the Smallbrook Queensway side as the back.  However, these days, that side is the more ornate with the bigger entrance, so who knows!

When the first photo was taken there was no doubt that Stephenson Street with the Queens Hotel would have been seen as the front of the station. Though I have to say that I think when the station was first built Great Queen Street (later Queens Drive) might have been the main entrance or even Station Street at one time, but since the 60's the front of the station has obviously been Smallbrook Ringway.

It doesn't even look like that last one now!

They've put in all these light towers & benches & the paving has all changed.

You would need to be up there every day taking photos to complete a full record of the changes to this area over the last 20/30 years or so.

I know.  I walk through it on the way into work every day.  At this point in time I'm doubting whether it'll be 'finished'  ;D
