What surprised me about the story of the old Bull being found in a skip was, most demolition contractors have a very good idea of what will fetch a good price if salvaged. Without a doubt one of the Bull Ring bulls would have been top of my list.
As for the building on the Quinton images (that is the one you mean?) I think the Holly Bush was an entirely new building that was built in 1937 to replace an earlier Holly Bush that was further up (Holly Hill) Hagley Road West toward Birmingham. The image of the original building was taken in 1934.
