Sorry, but the information I had at hand in 2016 said it was an academy, perhaps because there was some talk of it becoming an academy but they decided against it.
When I retired from there in 2016 there was talk of becoming an academy but it came to nothing at the time.  They seem to have cooled on the idea.  The Boys school is still looking at it though.

It's been tidied up nicely, hasn't it? The decision to plant a few trees has enhanced the area. It was in one of the newer Uni buildings I think that they used to have a paternoster lift - a bit scary and some people would choose the staircase instead.

The old drinking fountain that started out in life outside the old library at the junction of Aston Road & Legge Street. It can be seen in the first two images of my last post but is missing from the third because it has been moved to a grassed area behind what was once the old Celica cinema which I believe is now the European Bioenergy Research Institute.

Such a shame they got rid of Galloways Corner.
