That wedding photo was taken about 1966 and as far as I know then the Church was in tacked.

When I first travelled past it on a bus as a child, I read the name as, "The New Washed Row Cinema".

After all the changes they have made in Birmingham you can still find places like this that have hardly changed at all since they were first built. This is the junction of Warwick Road and Medley Road on Greet there are 68 years between the two photos.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

That's brilliant Phil - spot the difference. The planners must have missed this bit when looking for places to 'improve'.

The only remarkable difference is the houses on the right of Medley Road that have obviously been built to replace some that were bombed out during the war a few years earlier.

My Father was born just round the corner from Medley Rd in Bertha Rd.

Yes, great work for signwriters. I wonder if you'd still find the advertising on Spratt's if you removed a few layers of paint.

Here we Have Bull Street in the Town just before Temple Row, quite a few changes here.
