Bomb money box in Market Hall
« on: March 07, 2017, 12:04:54 AM »
I recently returned to the Bullring after many years away.
I went to find the dud bomb that had been in the old Market Hall
As a money box. No one seemed to know anything about it.
Any ideas?

Hi Bill

Welcome to the forum, the old market hall lord mayors fund collection bomb has been discussed on here several times, but I don't think it was ever discovered what happened to it.

Hi Bill, I remember that bomb in the market hall it was once said that the bomb was defused And recovered after falling between the gas tanks at Saltley whether that was true or not I don't know if it was and had it gone off I wouldn't be writing this as we lived very close to the gas works
