I used to live in William Edward Street in the 1950's just opposite the doctors, our family name is Cardall, we lived next door to a family called Cheshire. I was only about 3 when we moved there so my memory is very sketchy. My great aunt Rose Clissold lived just opposite close to the doctors I think. she did a lot of work for the council and when she died they named a street after her I believe. I was wondering if she ever worked at Hope Street School as I noticed somebody had mention a Ms Clissold being their PE teacher. I also remember the sweet shop in Conybere street owned by the Smith's who were good friends of my mom and dad. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers our family.
