Birmingham Night clubs 1980 through to 1994
« on: May 15, 2017, 04:22:19 PM »
Im interested in anyone's memories of clubbing in the city during the 80's to mid 90's.

Steptoes
Romeo and Juliets
Pagoda Park
Millionaires
The Powerhouse
Snobs
Faces
Liberty's
Boogies
Top Cats
Edwards
Paramount
Kaleidoscope
Peppermint Place
Bobby Browns

Keep them coming, and let's share our memories.
If things don't change they stay as they are. So make that change.

Never went to the venues club, popped into the Nightingale once.

The Elbow room was a good place to go.

I'm trying to find Mike Hilkeen who used to manage Pagoda Park in the 80's.

He was the GM at the club, he turned it round and made it a great club after Peter Clements (old GM) moved on.

We were good friends, but I lost contact when I moved over to the states to work and live.

my sister worked at faces and one night took my to nightingales after she finished work, was a little embarrassed as I was only 17, and didn't know it was a gay venue, till she told me in the members lounge

Lots of straight people went there too.

Do you remember Cagney on Canon Street in the city.
