Not what i have read, Ed, although the Japanese may have had a small part in the story of the collapse.
More to do with a certain amount of inefficiency in production, misappropriation of pension funds, government support money and prepaid orders, and owing HMRC £300K.
No doubt more information will emerge to clarify the reason for the collapse.

Happy Brexit, folks, the land of milk and honey awaits just over the horizon, right? :-\
Hers's a thought, if HS2 does terminate in our fair city does that mean Brum is at the end of the line or the beginning? :-\

Ready for a pub quiz style question? What did the RS stand for on sporty Ford Escorts and Sierras? :-\
Peg.
RS: Rallye Sport.
I have come across another definition from a reliable source: Race Specification, I thought maybe one had evolved to the other when Sierras became a force in saloon car track racing, but I can find no evidence to support this.
Ford RS badged cars first appeared 69/70 with the Escort RS1600 and Capri RS2600 and the last RS was the 2015 Focus.

I've just finished conducting some business over the phone with a young lady from Brazil who spoke English as a second language, (Portuguese her first), English is my second language (Brummie my first) - did we get the business sorted? I don't know for sure, I just kept saying yes and hoped for the best - I was warned the call would be recorded - wouldn't do em much good unless they've got a Brummie voice decoder installed.
Have a good day, in ertfud, erefud and ampshur..........
