Hi Roz

If we are talking about a Birmingham Burial, I suppose you have tried the Birmingham Central Library?

Hi Everyone,
I have the death cert in front of me.
Jack Jackman born 16th Jan.1941 died 22nd.6 days old at 134 Heathfield Road.
At the time my parents address was 110 Old Oscott Lane.Birmingham 22. at the top of the cert it is the borough of Handsworth.
I am presuming he would be in a Catholic part of a cemetary But which one.??
If anyone can help me I would be grateful.
I have both the certs so if you need anything else just let me know.
I'm at a loss of where to go next.
Roz

Hi Roz

I would hazard a guess that the nearest public cemetery to Heathfield Road Handsworth,  would be Witton, Moor Lane Witton B6 7AE. Try an email to

You never know.

If the parents were Catholics it is likely that he was buried in Oscott Catholic Cemetery , Hawthorn Brook Way, Sutton Coldfield which is about 2 miles from Old Oscott Lane.
It opened for burials at the start of WW11.
