Manzoni Gardens

Since Manzoni Gardens is no more, is the fact that Manzoni's name has not been re-used a deliberate snub to him?
I get the impression that Mr Manzoni left a poor legacy ?

Obviously Birmingham wants to disassociate itself from Manzoni.  That way they can blame all the mistakes of the past on him if they have to, but they would rather his name just fades away.

What they don't want you to remember is that Architects and planners work to a brief, and his particular  brief was handed down from our City Council.
