All thats left to do now is post a plan of the route that we took and say that I hope you enjoyed following this little nostalgic trip as much as I did sharing it with you.

I have already done the number 11 route on another couple of forums and also the 29  as well. They were quite hard for me as I had to research them having never used either of them, I'm not really a fan of public transport and even before I had a driving licence at 17 years of age I often chose to walk either than use buses.

Though having done these routes once they would be much easier to repeat and I could also add any recent images I have collected. So lets get the festive season over and see what the new year brings.

Most of the route I have shown so far is now called Bellgrave Middleway and not long after it was completed it was used for the first Superprix on the roads of Birmingham. There have occasionally been talks about reviving the races but so far nothing has materialised.

I know this is an old post, but I remembered it when I saw this in the news today -

We could be getting a new race!

I wasn't aware  it had ever stopped, living in Gt Barr up until September last year . Everyday was a day of high speed high testosterone and loads of hitting the horn , best days work I ever did was to get away from there . From about 7.00am every day at the lights A N Other AKA Lewis Hamilton revving up at the lights if you were slow on the uptake when green lit up you were the target  for him honking and revving , I used to think I'm  glad I don't drive . Now in hindsight I live in a very quiet village , I often wonder was he that keen on getting to work early, or was it just the roar of the engine he liked to hear
