I have just been out for a copy of the Sun. I have no love for the legal industry in this country but the taxi cab has evolved over the years like every other motor vehicle. The two companies have been manufacturing cabs for years side by side why suddenly has one decided it wants a patent. Was London Taxi afraid Metro would steal an advantage, soon it will be a requirement to have only electric taxis the way things are going.  Metro was the one once owned by Reliant; now owned by Frazer Nash an electric vehicle development co. London Taxi is owned by the Chinese company that owns Lotus and based in Coventry.

And what about the Austin Fraser Nash Metropolitan car, based on a bumper car. I seem to remember them with white and light green paint work and a spare wheel on the bumper.

There are some nice pictures coming up, I hope no one minds my downloading them. Those Metropolitans were pretty cars, favoured by posh women. They were called Nash Metropolitans to begin with then the name suddenly disappeared. It said they were made for American Motors by Austin. I see why now, Nash merged with Hudson to form AMC. Frazer Nash is a British company, that solves the mystery, for me anyway. Another mate's father had a Mayflower.
