I am not sure if you are referring to the St Andrews Ground butArthur Street/Coventry Road Bus depot is almost opposite The Birmingham City Football Ground,St Andrews and the ground was opened December 26th 1906
The Arthur St Garage also started life in 1906 as a Tram Depot went on to be used for Trolley Buses and Buses.

The first 3 letters would be Birmingham City Transport, that would tie in with Arthur Street tram depot. As for SA & TS at the moment I have no idea, but I'll have a nose around.

thank you spud & phil, for the replies how does this sound or look like.

 B.C.T.S.A. - T.S. = Birmingham City Transport Soccer ? or Sports ? Association & Tramway. Soccer

or  Birmingham Corporation Tramways sports association. gets my vote

called  Birmingham City transport in 1937 ? - not liking the last ones T.S.

the other spanner in the works is when did Birmingham became a City ?
or has it always been a city in the local eyes .

we are getting there thank you its a jigsaw puzzle when you think about it

what about Mr A.W.Harrison ?

Birmingham became a city before the 20th century, I think it was Queen Victoria who granted the town of Birmingham City Status in the 1880's. The Soccer Association looks plausible.

Thinking again it could have been Birmingham Corporation Tramways back in the 1920's.

pocket watch,

try looking up Birmingham Corporation Tramways Football Club, they played in the English FA Cup in the 1934-35 season. They could be the same club after a slight name change.
