Had a good pair of welly socks, ordinary thick socks wear out in no time but these are like a slipper which you put on over your socks then put your foot in the welly. Had a pair about 20 years ago and managed to find a shop still selling them, they last ages and save the heels of your socks. Had a good pair of working gloves too
