Gardening(Digging for Victory)

Thought I'd start this thread as this is what I'll be doing quite a lot of this year, now that I've acquired an allotment. Feel free to put your twopenneth

Great to here ,be prepared for a lot of hard work.Monty makes it sound so easy on the Telly ,when he as the soil dug for him and the compost made up

I agree. The best tool I invested in was small rotivator. Great for working on previously uncultivated soil and afterwards at the start of the season when the veg patch needs digging over.

Jamesm,when I worked an allotment best thing I bought was a small generator to run any electric tools I had,like  a rotovator or a lawn mower to cut grass

well I'm lazy  iv got a small patch now   12 foot by 8 foot just to grow the odd veg iv got it set out to lawns  now and boarders  iv got the green  house still for my bedding plants that has much has I can manage now
