Roy, sorry I am unable to find a photo of Higgs Motors, so I will continue on up Brookvale Road/

Looking back the way we have just comw from the Yew Tree public house. Our next view is looking toward Moor Lane and Witton Cemetery where the M6 now crosses on stilts. Then we are at the bottom of Marsh Hill at the junction of Gipsy Lane.

A number 11 bus parked outside the Hare & Hounds, then comes Marsh Hill Junior School (before the new one) and then from nearly the top of the hill we take a look back.

I did use the 11 service for a while in the 70s but only from Kings Heath to the Pershore Road and back for work, then of course between 1978 and 1987 I drove on there for about 4 or 5 years, following that I worked on there (on and off) for 17 years as an inspector, then during my last 11 years at work I spent a lot of time regulating the service using AVL (a gps tracking system) in the radio control room.
