Thank you very much, Roy One - but that's not the River Street I'm interested in.  It's the River Street by Belgrave Road, Balsall Heath that I'd like photos of. xx

Great picture Roy, good selection of cars, not a traffic warden or yellow line in site. Those were the days. The mini on the corner looks fairly new, even under he wheel arches. Looks like 'C' Reg which would make it about 1965. Does your computer allow you to expand the picture to see if it is a 'C' Reg?

Welcome back to the forum, I'm pretty certain I have posted these two photos before I'm just not sure where on the forum I posted them.

sounds about right Roy, I'm sure C Reg would be 65/66 and it looks fairly new.

I'm sure I've posted this before, but perhaps I didn't press post. Or it went into room 101.

Countrylad  C was 65 , I worked with a manxman  while serving my apprenticeship he had a brand new 1966 Wolsely 16/60
GOB708D I'll never forget that reg . I was like driving around in a roller , two tone brown walnut dash . Strange thing was he traded it
in after 6 months to get a 1965 Triumph 2000  DUE 106C , I was mortified . I didn't feel like royalty anymore

Some of those Reg's were memorable. My brother had a mini traveler Reg FLY 666. A lad a Wyco Engineering Cooks Lane had a cortina Mk 1 part of he Reg was BRA.

Do you know if huge Wolsey and Riley were built on the same track at the factory or in a separate unit? You were a cut above weren't they.
