End of an era. My membership of the Lifeboys and the BB had spanned a decade so I decided it was time to seek pasture new and I left at the end of the summer session in 1967. So was my discharge the last chapter in my Chonicle of my BB membership? Not quite.

3rd Sutton 1960-67. A mid-winter Sunday hike over the Clent Hills was an annual event we all looked forward to, particularly if there was snow on the ground, I think it was my first when I disappeared into a deep snow drift - the source of much humour at the time but a reminder that pristine snow can cover many things and straying from the well-trodden path carries some risk!

Do you know wot? This Christmas weight loss thing is proving to be a long-term goal.

P.S. A word of warning - if Mrs Peg Monkey approaches you, smiles and offers to look after your box of Turkish Delight say No thank you and walk away.

Can anyone confirm I've got my facts right? - The 92nd Company BB is based at Brookfields School, when was the company formed?

So, of my 7 years in The BB what did I enjoy the most? Actually every second, but of those that are notable captaining the soccer A Team has to figure high on my list - sadly the experience consigned to the distant past never to be repeated. :-[
Ah wel! That's life.

The 3rd Sutton also had a cricket team but I was not a member, I was absolutely rubbish at cricket, I think it was my dodgy right eye that was the problem - that's my excuse anyway. :-[

Fond memories of BB - I was in 22nd Birmingham. Every summer we used to go to Perrycroft in the Malverns.

Great memories  :)
