Who remembers the old windmill (now demolished)near to Yardley Wood?

Yes,that looks like it although the sails were long gone in the fifties.

In the 50's before they built all those houses on Priory Road there was still some of the old windmill still standing, we used to get I think it wa the 13 bus to the terminus and make our way on foot the rest of the way. We used to change into our trunks in the ruins and have a great time swimming in the mill pool.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

After the mill was pulled down the hill was reduced by a grader,then houses were built.

After the mill had been demolished we rode our motorcycles(A Matchless & a BSA)on the frozen mill pool below where the mill once stood.---Probably around 1960/1961....KC.
