Trittiford mill was further down and was fed by the water from Trittiford park pool.  Info I had says the mill was used for metal bashing rather than milling cereals.  There was also a mill in Chinn Brook park fed by the stream that flows through there.


I believe that the windmill was owned by the same family that had the feedstock yard on Haslucks Green Road not far from the Station. Now old folks flats. Wollastons?

I think I may be a bit too young for that and wasn't actually living around there at that time.  However my in-laws live in Daimler road and apparently, when they bought their house in 1955 there were still the outbuildings at the bottom of the gardens, many of which had been used in the past as pig stys.  Back then there would only have been open ground between the backs of their houses and Priory Road. Wilson Croft wasn't built until the 70s.

I lived in Riley Road which is close to Daimler Road..Yes,some kept pigs in their back garden,Bob Joiner was one of them...KC.
