4 Irish lads heading over to Birmingham in March for weekend. Any suggestions where to head to sat night. All in 40’s so don’t want night club scene. Just nice few pints and bit of Craig. Any particular areas to avoid or to head to?

Hi Shazer

Welcome to you, I suppose it really depends where you are stopping in Birmingham. We have loads of plastic Irish pubs in Birmingham, but none of the Irish lads that I knew would be seen dead in any of them. If you are stopping in the city centre I would stick to the Irish Centre in Digbeth if I were you it's a short walk from the Bull Ring. Other than that get outskirts of the city centre to somewhere like the Spotted Dog in Alcester Street or even the White Swan on Bradford Street. I can't vouch for any of these places now as it's been a while since I used any of them, but if you don't like then I'm sure you will find somewhere you like. Have a good time and enjoy yourselves.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.
