« on: February 21, 2019, 10:58:19 PM »
Greetings from Australia, My Grandfather, Robert Walter Pitcairn Roy, was born in Birmingham in 1896, To George Souter Roy & Marion Elisabeth Roy nee Bright, of 18 Bagot st. St George. He had an older Brother, Colin Ian (1892-1943) And 3 sisters, Marion Barbara (1894-1917), Agnes Addison (1895-1902) and Kate Elspeth (1898-1898). I would like to find out if there are any living decedents of Colin or Marion still in the Birmingham area. - Les.

Hi Les,

Welcome to the forum, we do have posters on here who might be able to help you with the ancestry questions you are looking for answers on. In the meantime I can tell you in case you didn't know that your Great Grandfather was a publican as 18 Bagot Street was the White Hart public house and in 1897 the publican was a George Soutar Roy.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

Hi Les, it appears that none of the family stayed in Birmingham.

Colin married Maude Campbell in 1920 Woolwich and in 1939 he was in Woolwich working for Port of london Authority.
Marion b 1894 d in Woolwich 1917
Agnes b Greenwich died in Shoreditch
Kate Elspeth b  and d Stourbridge.

Colins mother Marion  Elizabeth died in West Ham 1903

In 1933
Colin , Maude and George Souter Roy are all living at 17 Westhorne Avenue Woolwich.
