Obviously Spud your Son in Law didn't work at Longbridge. LOL.

I would have thought that it was an Azelea  should give off  a Musk smell

I'm no gardener in fact I dislike every aspect of it, but it looks like a yellow rhododendron bush to me.

I have the same in my Garden it is an Azelea bought mine in Wales they are in the same family as  Rhododendron

Yes Spud, Rhododendron luteum is in fact a yellow azalea as any non gardener such as myself can find out with ease if he looks it up on the internet.
