Hello Tina
The family named mills lived round the corner in Duddeston Mill Road. My friend tellsl me
That 1,2 and 3 were occupied by the Newbolds, a Spinster and the Downings.
Sorry not able to help you.
Best wishes
Gerald.

Hi Tina

According to what I can find out, according to the maps the even numbers were on the east side and odd were on the west side. The first property on east side of Inkerman Street was actually in Duddeston Mill Road and the first number on that side was number 6. Which means that according to the Ordinance Survey maps there was no Number 2 or number 4. I find this odd to say the least because it's not as if they were there at one time and they were demolished or bombed because the map shows no space where there would have been one.

I will look further into what could be the reason for this, as I have heard of corner buildings being numbered in two streets and this may be the reason.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

Hi Tina, you say mothers maiden name which means she married your father.
I can find no records of a June Hadley marrying a Terence/Terance  Mills.
In 1957 Birmingham a June Hadley married a William L Mills.
