Hi Tina

To carry on with Alberta's usual exemplary work Number 7 court was at the rear of number 32 Inkerman Street and was situated almost at the junction of Cathcart Street.

corrected an error changed 2 court to 7 court at 01.00 p.m.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

Hello Tina
Do you know if they had a pet monkey if so they left Inkerman Street and went to Great Brook Street.
A family that lived in No 2 court were named Brookes. The entrance to the court was near the GreenGrocers.

Hello Alberta
I have now asked the Paper Boy from 1956 if he remembers this family. He delivered to the
full length of Inkerman Street.
We will get there, sometime.
Take care...Gerald.

Tina, we are going round in circles now and ,whether you want to know your fathers past or to find him now, you will not get a clear answer until we can verify his full name.
We have ascertained that the Hadley family in Inkerman street is your mom so the next step would be to get the marriage certificate of the June Hadley who married William L Mills in March qtr 1957 birmingham.
To save yourself paying the fee for nothing use the criteria that her fathers name must be Joseph.
You can get it direct from Birmingham register office cost approx, £12

Thank you for all your help I'm not very good at all this and I appreciate everybody's help I am very much in the dark as my mum took this secret to her grave all I all I knew was that I had another father and I've never seen him I was led to believe his name was was mills who lived in Inkerman Street I sent away for a birth certificate it came back as my father was Terence meals I also have learnt recently that it could have been William mills so as you can understand I am a bit confused but I am going to continue my search in the hope that I might meet him if he wishes but I do think everybody on here for their help and kindness towards me in my search kind regards Tin

Tina,
The same as happened to me and my half sister, we don't know who our farthers are which means we could have other siblings, and we were conceived while her husband was way fighting Hitler It is all to do with women keeping secrets.

The old saying, it probably goes on today.......a man nursing another man baby or the tax payer paying for a baby.
