I have a cricket cap which my late dad earned while playing for BYC which I am assuming is Birmingham Youth Club the final in 1951 was played at Edgebaston does anyone have an idea where I could find details of the game itself ?
His name was Bert Linnecor and also played a few games for the blues in mid 50s before being transferred to Lincoln City.

Might have been way way back, Ed.
Different spelling, but Census names did get altered in error years ago?
Gary L. is Leicester/Nottingham area. I used to work same company as his cousin.

I've split this topic, but unfortunately I forgot to change the name of the thread and I can't get back in to do it now, So just look for the title RE Ward End Park if you want post to the thread.

I seem to remember a blues player called Albert Linnecor in the 50,s. Darren try the bcfc forum site one of the older supporters may be able to point you in the right direction.

Meet some members at Tatton Park way back last year, and just thinking of dusting Elise down after its winter
hibernation and checking what is on.
