I do love a sweet sherry.  I don't just limit that to Christmas though  :)

Buck's Fizz & Snowballs are something I usually only have at Christmas.

Where do you spend Christmas Day? Mrs Monkey and me usually go to our daughter's, or we act as hosts - we have never gone abroad, mind you, we did spend one Christmas in Scarborough. :-\

It's true (same for about the last 7 years) will possibly have up to 3 brief telephone chats and that's it for the day, no arguments about what to watch on telly though  O0

Same here!

It's nice to have a quiet break to myself really.  I only get a couple of days off work so it's good to chill out rather than have to rush around visiting and not being able to relax.  Will be visiting family this weekend.

Well this is my fifth Christmas since retiring, but don't really miss the Christmas Do because during 37 years of working for the buses, I only went to one a handful of times, most years it wasn't even an option, and the few I did go to weren't very memorable.

Judith, I'm doing the rounds on Friday, just the three calls (about a 200 mile round trip) Cemetery, Sister in Laws and my Friends before heading back home, so one busy day followed by a very quiet Christmas as usual.

Had our work's Christmas do last Friday (13th)!

I used to love the lunch time Christmas dos at the Grand Hotel.  The food was always fabulous & there was a great atmosphere.  The company I worked for would let us have an extra long lunch break & we'd get back to work around 3 slightly tipsy  :)
