I can't remember the last time I bought anything from Primark although we have a family connection with the store. My wife a I hear all sorts of stories about Primark like how competing store like M&S and H&M send in spies to see how Primark work.
But one of my relatives was seconded to Primark's West Bromwich for the opening.
Opening at 9 am on the opening day by Midday the West Bromwich Police refused to take any more phone calls reporting shop lifting. Another incident involved a woman who entered the store shoeless. Approaching the Cash Till the woman appeared to be shuffling which drew the attention of the Dept Manager. She had helped herself to a pair of shoes but had failed to remove the string attaching the pair of shoes together as a pair. You just could not male this up.
