I used to live in Kingshurst way, in a barrel house with my parents back in 1971. I googled the area and it’s now ordinary houses. We used to live next door to a black family, can’t remember their name, he worked as a porter in New Street Station and they had two boys. He was always friendly. Regrettably she went shopping and locked them in the bedroom but they were playing and the youngest boy fell from the (third floor) window. died three days later.
