looking for link
« on: August 12, 2020, 10:08:30 PM »
hello fellow Brummies
Many moons ago Phil (RIP) posted a link http://damsdeepzoom.shoothill.com a site run, I think by Birmingham Public Libraries that featured thousands of photos of Old Birmingham from the 1930's onward Lately the site is unavailable and information on it is non existent, wondering if anyone on this forum has any info on whether this site is available under a new URL or to it's disposition
Many thanx in advance
Kelama

As I understand it the site was produced for the libraries by an outside firm, whose contract ended, and, presumably because of cost cutting, was not renewed

thanks for info, that site was an incredible source for a pictorial history of Birmingham. Hopefully someone will resurrect it, Till then there's always Phyliss Nicklin
