Smallbrook Street
« on: August 16, 2020, 07:57:46 AM »
The research I am undertaking is to identify the location of 93 Smallbrook Street. The workshop and home of Withers, tailors (1738-1819 or thereabouts) until Edwin Withers use it as his business headquarters circa 1835. The 1841 Census has him still owning Smallbrook street. Tried various Old Maps of Brum but none pin point the location of this business. Your help would be much appreciated.

The map below is later, from the mid to late 1880s, b ut numbering does not seem to have been changed, though buildings may well have. I think that nom 93 is at the position marked in red on the map. Certainly if it is not thta , it is one of the buildings either side
