Can members help me please.
George Naden of 27 High St B'ham was  a grocer and tea merchant. To the best of my knowledge he was there in 1841 and in 1858. Any information would be welcome but in particular when did it cease trading? George married twice; first to Jane Hooper in 1821 and later to Maria Pedley after Janes' death in 1846. Jane is not at no. 27 at the '41 census. Was she still living there or have they parted?

MIkejee  -  thanks for note. In 1878 George would have been about 77 He died in 1882 so it looks as tho' he worked and then sold the business.  The sale of what seems to have been a substantial business must have left a trail that i can follow.
Thanks again.
