Shop in Arley rd owned by Mr Volante

Shop in Arley Road the gate Saltley owned by Mr Volante does anyone have pictures of the shop or any memories of it. It was opposite Metropolitan Camel in the late 50's and early 60's. Apparently it sold more or less anything.

1939 Arley Road


Lawrence Volante b 1891  Grocer  (he was born in birmingham ,Lorenzo, but must have used an anglisesed version)
Marion , wife b 1887 (born Victoria Forence Marion Legge) married 1911.
Children Ernest, Francesco, Vincent, Joseph and twins Elizabeth and Maria.
Lawrence died in 1959 , Address 12 Arley road.
In the 60s
Marion continued to live at No/12 but her son Frank (Francesco) and his family lived at no.14.
Elizabeth now married (Fentham) lived at No.40

Alberta. Are we on about the same Volante family. Bettie lived up Church Rd Yardley way..

Edmund, the originator of this thread kathw asked about Mr Volante in Arley road and it is her post that I replied to.
I can't see any record of a Volante family in church road.

Alberta. This was in the early 60s. I had a car and took my mother to her house  every week. We lived in Kitts Green.
