St Cuthberts Convalescent Home Malvern
« on: January 22, 2021, 10:31:03 PM »
Does anyone remember being sent to this home from the Childrens Hospital to recover their health? I was there in February and March 1955 and my father had a long journey on the Midland Red bus to visit! We had Teachers coming in to give lessons to us all and there were classes of five, so we almost had one to one tuition. When I finally got back to Red Hill Road School my knowledge of logarithms was very good. Pity it had almost disappeared by Secondary School!

Wally - If you have a look at the facebook Malvern History Page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/232340776877232 - it's a public group so you don't have to join it - you'll find quite a bit of info about the convalescent home - think you can search the whole page for "st cuthberts" to pull up the specific posts - Bill

I attended St Cuthbert's in 1959. I was totally in love with Wendy Prince - we were both 8 years old! I also remember Sister Archibald, a tall, grey-haired Scottish lady.
